VTT “Spline Lock” Crank Hub System – N55 / S55

VTT is proud to offer the only complete crank hub solution for BMW N54, N55, and S55 engines that does not require drilling the crankshaft for pins.

Our innovative hub features proprietary Spline Lock Technology—a high-tolerance, precision-machined spline system that presses into the crank and positively locks the hub in place, eliminating the need for traditional pinning or welding.

After months of rigorous development and over 10 different prototype revisions, our final production version was put to the test. In our in-house trials, the hub outperformed expectations—breaking our testing rig before it ever slipped. Real-world validation has been conducted on the VTT N54 race car, which spins to 8,000 RPM and produces over 900 WHP.

 Spline Lock hubs are recommended be used with the VTT Crank Bolt Capture system. They are not intended to run independently.

Material & Construction

Each VTT Spline Lock Crank Hub is CNC-machined from 440C tool steel, heat-treated to a Rockwell hardness of HRC60, ensuring unmatched strength and durability under extreme conditions.

Installation Requirements:

We strongly recommend this system be installed by a qualified technician or professional shop.
Factory timing tools are mandatory—improper installation can result in engine damage.
